Teething Relief 101
At Troy Dental Care we are often asked what parents can do to relieve their child’s discomfort during teething. Sore gums are bound to result from erupting teeth between 6 months and 3 years of age and the discomfort often lasts a few days at a time. Dr. Mary Berk-Mooney suggests offering a cool, clean teeth ring, chilled spoon or toothbrush to your child. You can also rub a clean finger or cool, wet washcloth on the sore gums to relieve your child’s discomfort. You are not alone.
